Labour Market Trends

The world of work is constantly changing. Many of the jobs that are in demand today were not even thought about 4 years ago. So it’s hard to plan when you cannot predict.  But we do know that there are some trends that are likely to continue and some skills that are always in demand. Let’s consider some of the information we do have about the current state of work. For example, from 2021 to 2022, there was a 60% increase in online job postings. This was seen across all provinces. In fact, the number of online job postings in 2022 surpassed pre-pandemic levels

Further, we saw growth in employment over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic in several occupations.
